I see this on r9k and this forum a lot. It’s even worse when it’s obvious OP is making up a story at their own expense. Why? Is it just a form of attention whoring? I guess it has to do with the never ending dick measuring contest in these spaces over who’s the truest truecel.

I can't imagine it to be more than virtue signaling. I've seen many cases of folks talking complete arse on these spaces to signal their authenticity for street cred.

I wouldnt mind made up stories if they werent written so terribly and childish, you can tell a lot of stories are written by Aspies who dont know how people communicate with each other
