Why do so many years old users on here never heard of the term "Oofy Doofy" ?

It's a reactionary theory meant to be antithetical to the blackpill. I think HBTDL is honest about his background in physics, and he is a genuinely intelligent guy despite being full of shit.

It's possible that he studied physics at some point. It's not too uncommon for people with a little bit of educational background in a field at the undergraduate level to falsify/exaggerate their credentials. They know enough jargon, concepts and terminology to be able to bullshit anyone who isn't an expert in the field. A long time ago I knew a guy who studied law but dropped out before getting even a bachelor's degree, but LARPed as a former successful lawyer who was disbarred. He even made up a whole ass story about how he was disbarred which sounded like something out of a cheesy courtroom drama from the 90s.

I'll bet HBTDL's case is similar to this. Maybe studied physics at some point but I don't believe even for a second he was a "professor that was only 1 year away from getting tenure". He's WAY too autistic, neurotic and emotionally immature to hold down such a job for that long (or get a job like that in the first place).

People with his personality type (poor social skills + neurotic + autistic + contrarian) don't last long at any job. Nobody can stand them and managers usually find any excuse they can to get rid of them because they're sick of dealing with them.

True, but more broadly speaking, if someone online leans heavily on alleged credentials, they're probably bullshitting. If an argument is sound then it will stand on it's own, they wouldn't need to appeal to ethos.
