Told my mom I eat raw meat, said "don't tell people, I don't wanna deal with them"
She says "I'd be too embarrassed to tell people"
Couple hours later I overhear her talking to her coworker. She tells her I eat raw meat, makes sure to ask her how weird she thinks I am while laughing and then tells her to tell her husband lmao. She has always made up fake stories about me where I try to disobey her and she whips me into shape to impress other people. In reality she'll tell me to do something and usually I'll do it because I don't feel like arguing, or if the request is irrational I'll tell her it's stupid and won't do it.
It's not even that she's making fun of me, that would be somewhat tolerable, it's like she's seeking validation from these people. Rather than having some balls and outright calling me weird she'll ask "Isn't my son weird haha?" to gain some brownie points from her coworkers. Like she's guiding them into calling me weird. All because she doesn't have anything interesting to talk about.
Is this a female thing, a human thing in general or just an individual issue my mother has?
