Serious question here.
I have met quite a few over the years, saying "I'm socially anxious" (the girl that said this was stunning, by the way), or, "I get nervous in front of a crowd", or simply "I'm shy".
By puberty, hot girls know they're hot. In the past decade or so, even not-so-hot girls think they're hot because of thirsty simps. Being liked or accepted should never be a problem.
In the meantime, I hate walking into any place, because I'll either be seen with disgust or treated as if I'm invisible -- it's a lose lose situation for me
