Why did lots of changes happen in the world during 2016? Technology improved,Music Changed, Politics,Memes Etc. Lots of shit just happened in the year 2016. Idk what it is. Just alot of cultural changes in the world occurred during this specific year. But why was it 2016 though?

Maybe they is always a shift in the culture during the the middle of a decade. Like when we get to the 6th or 7th year of any decade. The culture changes.
E.g Early 2000's had this vibe to it. But then the vibe and culture of the decade changed in 2007.
