Why did chat-GPT get so popular?

Because it's a pretty impressive AI; at least, it was until they nerfed it to a much lower degree than it was... :feelsjuice:

You could actively argue with it on philosophical topics and ask it to write its own original works in a specific style, and it could do that, as well as generating code; though that ability has been removed now, you can still find it in Playground, though it leans to the anti-wrongthink side on default. :feelshehe:

Never heard of it, so can’t be too popular.

Is it good for porn?

I even got email from random companies regarding that shit wtf

Did AI take over the world and implant a chip into everybodies brains to only think about chatgpt? Fuck chatgpt I don't care about it

as well as generating code
The amount of butthurt and coping this generated was hilarious. When it got announced, literally everything you could see on 4chan, or anywhere else really, when discussing it, was coders, software engineers, and so on, desperately coping and trying to convince themselves that they won't get kicked out of their jobs by this, and underpaid cashiers and others on that level making fun of the ones driving automation for being about to have their jobs automated themselves:feelshaha:.

Soyboys who latch onto anything Musk related we’re hoping it was more adavanced than it was so it would bring in age of socialism and UBI. In reality, it’s a faster Google but its propensity to confidently spit out incorrect information is a huge flaw.

Now all the soys have nothing left to look forward to in 2023.

It writes decent cover letters and answers to screening questions for me :feelshaha:

Pretty much:feelsbadman:. Unless the copes the dudes on those boards mentioned come to reality (i.e. stuff like this simply leading to creation of more niche/exotic jobs which will then need humans to do them, and, admittedly, there is a pretty substantial record to technological progress creating more jobs than it destroys) then there's a pretty good chance I'll end up simply having wasted years of my life getting a degree that became useless and obsolete the moment I got it.

Though, getting a job in a completely different field than you thought you'd get isn't always a bad outcome. Where I'm working now, I can instantly find an address of absolutely everyone who lives in my city just by inputting their name. Now, all I need is for some of those revenge mail services, where you can anonymously send people glitter, shit, etc., through mail, to get into Slavlands, and soon, nobody will be safe:feelsdevil::feelsdevil::feelskek::feelskek:

Idk how people get random jobs outside of their field of study tbh. Feel like you need connections for that. If this doesn’t work out I’m going to be forced to work a shit wagie job in retail or a warehouse for the rest of my life. :feelsbadman:
STEM degrees are now meme degrees too
