Mainstream culture was too focused on the orchestrated COVID-19 scam to try to manipulate culture in any other way, which led to a more organic pop culture. TikTok was full of authentic wholesome "cringe" content rather than performative moralism like today, memes were genuinely funny, esotericism made a comeback, agecucking seemed to have taken a back seat politically and weeb culture peaked in popularity...

The escapist vibe of 2020 actually temporarily improved society, just before the normie broccoli head NPC epidemic started ruining everything again.

we need another lockdown, If you can hear me Netanyahu, send us another wave!

I always thought that the lockdown was the peak of the degeneracy and all that, no?

That was around the time I saw my first BP slideshow on TikTok and it got 1 shotted :feelshaha:

Interesting perspective on it. Now that I think about it, I guess there was something like that visible on the internet, though as someone who hadn't really engaged with TikTok and other arteries of the internet much until recently, I only felt small whiffs of that.

*reads thread*

I dont believe its memes that became less funny, its more like we grow up and our sense of humor changes

Do you have nostalgia for 2020? I don't feel nostalgia for anything anymore. The future interests me more.

the only thing I will remember about this cursed decade is having to resort to nostalgia for previous ones, because this decade did not give me anything interesting.

2020 was peak wokeness idk what you’re talking about. That was the year the “Summer of love” happened

True i remember niggers burning down cities even though there was a lockdown but it wasnt enforced for immigrants and niggers protesting

What fucking future man, bro it's over. In 2020 I still had hope especially in Summer.

The future as in a happy normal family life, of course not. I'm talking about technological developments. "Nothing ever happens" sure, but it is also interesting to see the small ways society change over time.
