The new US declassified documents suggest that there were witnesses to the Nazi UFO program, but I don't see why is that surprising?
The Nazis relied on wunderwaffe to win the war because they couldn't win conventionally; making these innovative projects and seeing which ones stuck to the wall, was the only option left for the Nazis.
We are talking about people who created or proposed:
Ta 183 Sweep wing jet fighter
V1 terror bombs (like an inaccurate version of Shahed)
V2 ballistic missiles
Me-262 jet interceptor/fighter
StG-44 assault rifle
Various VTOL projects
Schwerer Gustav
That's not all BTW. If the Nazis actually created UFOs, these would be just another impractical line of wunderwaffe that wastes resources more than it helps the war, especially when UFOs are big, has high thrust engines (the Harrier offers an example; it has extremely high thrust and hot engines), and are easily shot down.
Not to mention that disc shape is high-drag, wasting even more fuel, and are extremely difficult to control (again, the Yak-38 and Harrier).
We are talking about a country that thought the Maus was practical, if they did not build UFOs, it meant that these were so bad that the Germans didn't wanted them.
