Same, people in the Balkans work 8 to 10 hours per day and on Saturdays, with their paycheck they cant buy a house or a car even after 10-15 years. In smaller towns most people work on fruit plantations in burning heat for 10-11 hours per day. On TV reality shows go 24/7 just to distract people from the misery they are living.

Its more peaceful yeah, but with one person paycheck is nearly impossible to buy a house, also its hard in smaller towns to find a stable job and hold on to it, bosses either treat you like a shit because there are thousand people waiting to take your place or it goes bankrupt. Most people buying houses are young couples with 2 paychecks and even they need like 20 years to pay it off.

True. One thing people here do is go work off in Germany/Austria for 5-10 years then return here and live like royalty. Things cost less here and the money they earned abroad just doubled.
