Venting Why are dissident political groups so toxic?

In the US and Canada, any politics to the right of center (think people who advocate for nationalism, tarrifs, deportations, strong government, generally anti Jewish, anti LGBT, higher taxes on wealthy people) are usually very toxic and it is hard to find people you enjoy the company of. Why is this? Leftists have the same problem too but they can at least tolerate each other and work together
