It is popular knowledge that many programmers are socially awkward nerds who look terrible and that would naturally lead to inceldom, unless you create your startup and somehow become rich, then girls will notice you. For this reason I expect a high percentage of programmers here.
I'm a programmer myself but unemployed, self-taught and not terribly good at it, just mediocre.
I know some C,C++ and C# mostly but dabble a bit in JS or PHP sometimes too. I also know databases.
I believe if I weren't so depressed and demotivated and used more hours in a day to code rather than self-loathe I might actually not be that bad as I do know some difficult stuff superficially (DirectX 11, WDM, Bitcoin API, ...)
I do still hope that I could motivate myself some day to create a startup and get out of this misery but I'm also very suicidal at the same time.
How about you? Anyone in a similar position?

I think the IT startup boom is already over. Whoever has had a good idea realized it and became rich.

With start-up I don't necessarily mean a never seen before, innovative concept but also a little variant on something existing e.g. a videogame. The creativity here mostly comes from the storytellers and graphic artists anyway.
There's probably money to be made in business to business apps as well though this requires better social skills to deal with corporate types.

its not over. its just harder to create something that hasnt been there already. also you just need a lot of luck that your app gets popular. I mean look at musical.ly. its total shit yet has so many users and rakes in a lot of cash surely.

I am a brogrammer. I'm doing the three Cs just like you but primarily for embedded systems. TBH embedded engineering so far is easy, just need to have a good grasp of calculus and state machines. Maybe one day if I don't rope before then I'll be an embedded systems engineer.

Me. The money is good. The job is good. It’s the only thing that keeps me alive. Career is cope.

Everything they tell you when you’re young about working hard and studying and getting a good career is a lie. Nobody cares. Femoids don’t care. Looks are all that matter.

But you could try mail order brides?

That’s basically escortcel. But I see no point. Sex only means anything if the femoid really wants it with you. If you’re buying it, it just seems... fake.

It’s over.

Granted, feeling wanted is better than not feeling wanted but sex for the sex itself beats not getting any imo. Pussy tastes awesome and life without it isn't worth living.

Fellow programmercel here. I've noticed my compsci classes are also about 80%+ incels, 15% normie, 4%above average/Chad, and 1% females. This industry is filled with people like us, probably the best place to spread the blackpill to as well

tfw too unintelligent to program

is programming even hard to learn? im in my first year with IT major, haven't taken any computer programming classes though but shit looks complicated as fuck.

People liken it to learning a new language.

This. We are living the same lives brother.

tbh yes, I think good programmers are born not made. Everyone can learn to code a bit but it takes genius for some types of hard problems. There exists a set of 3 questions that can tell born programmers from the rest.
I myself succeed at 2 but have some trouble with the 3rd one.
The questions are about assignment, sequence and concurrency.
