I have to take particular medications for my blood-pressure and related issues. These (even when taken in the morning), as well as my bad depression, cause extremely bad quality sleep, waking up numerous times at night, nightmares, and waking up at around 5-6 AM and not being able to sleep again.

What has helped you, except sleeping pills?

jerk off

almost nothing helps my insomnia unless im knocked out with some strong sedatives otherwise i just wake up a billion times

Nothing helps for me either, woke up yesterday very early in the morning which caused me to fall asleep multiple times during the day yesterday which caused me to stay up the whole night now and still not being able to sleep, gonna try to stay awake now too and hopefully be able to sleep this night in 15 hours and 46 min. I hate insomnia.

The only thing that helped me a little was sleeping with elevated head

Have you ever taken melatonin

If you tire yourself working out, you will require more sleep to recover. Get some dumbells and just gymcelmaxx at home, see if it works

That is a good idea. "Sad" thing is, I do have dumbbells and quite nice workout equipment my mom bought me over the years but I never used it. I know, I'm a loser. In my defense, my depression has always been bad and my motivation extremely low, due to how I'm treated when outside bc of my face. I'm also only 1.62m.

I do not sleep for as long as I can. After a few nights of no sleep( for me it's usually 2 sleepless nights ) , i naturally become sleepy and have a proper sleep.

Pills or Jerk off 3x before bed.

I started taking a 250mg of magnesium one hour before I sleep. It gets me sleepy and has some healthy benefits, which I don't care about. Also smoke cigarettes calmly to regulate your breathing and stress levels

Ayahuasca helps with sleep, though I haven't actually taken it yet. It increases your sleep power when you're transitive into REM.

Benadryl works consistently for me

it does cause a hangover the next day

not as bad as alcohol, but still

I've been sleeping late recently mainly due having some kind of stomach issue but I don't have insomnia really I go to bed at around 12am and wake up at around 9-11 am, I don't have a job or anything to do so I just sleep as much as I want, I also don't wake up in the middle of the night at all, if you want to sleep well you just have to exercise during the day, preferably in the morning and also get some sunlight and walk around when you wake up to set your circadian rhythm (you don't need much especially if you're pale as shit like me). If you use your phone or computer before you go to bed try turning on the blue light filter setting, also reading a book or stretching. Pretty fucking generic advice I know but it should work or at least help.

Don't go to bed too late and NEVER SLEEP THROUGH THE DAY.

Try some light stretching before bed.

I take zopinox sometimes and a ssri

I play games like 6-10 hours a day so i take sleep med after im done so that i dont have to wait for hours to sleep

i smoke weed before bed which knocks me out

I do somatic exercises as a neurological discharge before bed. Seems to help. I second the working out thing, also. When I was big into it, I slept hard and well. But, I am also depressed now and have no motivation to do it, so I try to do somatic stuff while I rot in bed to discharge my nervous built up energy from being sedentary
