Busou Renkin is classic shounen, and solid action with some romance involved.
I liked it back when i watched it in the summer of 2012. ( magical summer that was.. )

Togainu No Chi, give this one a go.
If you are into post-apocalyptic settings + great action + gore + believable characters.
Then, you got 12 episodes of that.
( Just don´t play the video game, WARNING! )

I only liked the anime, because it is a Shounen, and not a romanticized Shounen-ai like in the video game.
