Odd isn't it because the age of consent in many places is 16.

I think the more professional predator catching channels don't tend to use 16 and 17 as decoy ages, although I suppose technically you could do depending on where you are doing the sting.

I feel like this is a problem that we'll never entirely stamp out.

The question isn't "can we live in a world without pedos?" but rather "can we respond to the existence of them in a way that is measured without becoming hysterical?"

However these days it seems like the answer to BOTH of those questions is no.

It's always 15 year olds. Since the police can't arrest them if it's 16. Also most pedo catching channels have entrapment charges against them.

As I think it's hard to call someone a pedo really when the person they're going after is 17. That's not really the old definition.

I can understand though that in some countries the age of consent is very low and that of course wouldn't make it look moral from other countries, but... 16 is typically still considered an acceptable age of consent, as far as I'm aware.

It does also seem to be a topic that people are very interested in. I'm not entirely sure why.

The demand for the content seems to be significantly outweighing the supply of pedophiles to populate it.

Which might explain why the definition of one keeps broadening.
