I've been playing for 3 years, but without that much effort and constancy lol

I've always noticed how the only people who get any kind of interest for playing instruments are good looking people or VERY good players. Nobody around me has ever cared about it, and that's a little sad tbh.

I do enjoy it, but I have these mixed emotions of anger, sadness and confusion. Why would I put effort into playing an instrument when it is only for myself and I can also do a lot more things to keep myself entertained?

I stopped playing but I guess it was mostly because I don't naturally like to perform. Some people love being on stage on making videos of them playing or things like that. But I don't really so it felt a bit pointless. I don't hate playing though.

I guess it depends if you really enjoy it or want to perform or write songs. Stuff like that ^_^
