So yes. By the definition "involuntary celebrate" a ton of people in the world are incels. Now the people on this site generally believe the following criteria makes an incel

1. Must be a male
2. Non-LGBTQ
3. Must be a virgin or at least only had sex with a escort
4. 18 years or older(This varies by incels, some say 25.)

This is the general critieria. It's important to note that there can be more or less critieria depending on the incel asked. Some are more strict with the term while some don't really care as much.

I don't think there is any specific one point in someone's life where they "become an incel". From my general observations most guys here struggle to acquire any types of relationships be that romantic or just friends and come to this community looking for support and to be amongst fellow socialy inept males. A good representation of this would be Foster's home for imaginary Friends, except we weren't particularly desired.
