Yeah, it would have. Paper Mario died right at Sticker Star. Color Splash is nothing like the others, no matter what people want to say that they went back to normal from since Sticker Star, and then Origami King they completely came out and said it's not meant to be like the other games.

That's a tough one but i have to say Heroes of might and magic II the succession wars. I kinda grew up playing it on my parents windows 95 and 98 machine. Back then during the late 90s, an old PC even had a distinctive smell to it.

I even have a windowsXP PC that i exclusively play HOMM2 on. You can't play HOMM2 on never machines because the CD opera music wont play, only the inferior MIDI music. So you'll have to get an old PC/operative system if you want to hear the opera, like in this sorceress theme, my favourite: (The opera singer was only like 15 years old when she sang this)

every dragon quest after is better, though. (only played up to 9, never got past the first part of vii because there was a puzzle and it was taking too long to get to the action, so maybe that one is worst)

Necromancer has the best lvl 4 units in the game. Vampires are OP as fuck. Despite being a great game, it's quite unbalanced.

Necromancer units were designed to be weak because they drained life and regenerated and shit and I was terrible at the game.
I like 2, 3 had depressing graphics, 4 was crap, and V was really good.
I think V is my favorite, tbh.

e: I see now you're saying only the lv 4 units were good, nvm.
so necromancer sucked, right? that was my impression.
also, you couldn't mix and match troops or you lose morale because living creatures hated working with undead, so that was another drawback.

Well necromancers units are weak but Vampire lords and bone dragons are quite strong. Skeletons are also the best lvl 1 unit in the game and with necromancy secondary skill you can create hordes with them, especially if you find peasants to kill lol. honestly, i just like building structures and increasing numbers of units
i played a lot of hot seat with my friends and it always pissed me off when i encountered one of them and my shit got bodied.

I never tried playing Might & Magic.
If I remember right, the first were more sci-fi/fantasy than fantasy and had robots and things in it.
