for me it has to be Darkest Dungeon 2

it is a turn based game so hard, its the only vidya I've ever seen that shows a trigger warning when you launch it

this message puts it lightly. The game has like 15 frustration mechanics you have to juggle. You are constantly at a disadvantage. There's stress(sanity) to maintain, character relationships which are usually negative, being low HP pretty much most of the time, fatigue, status effects like horror, debuffs and so on

it took me 10 hours to beat the first level and then i uninstalled and will never come back

The Great Rebellion and Abathor are pretty hard too

Elden Bling. Being black is hard.

Do games that we never managed beat count?

If so, the classic Tomb Raiders.

Old adventure games. 2005 release called Nibiru: Age of Secrets was especially challenging using Mayan clocks as a puzzle. There are also certain levels of specific games. The original Mafia: Lost Heaven 2002 game had a notorious race track level I needed to download save game file for after that challenge.

speaking of that i found siberia games to be pretty hard but idk if it was just cuz i was a kid back then

Dark souls but it wasn’t even hard, I don’t play much games so that’s the hardest

I did play Nightreign but not much.

In terms of completion, it would have to be POSTAL 2 Ludicrous mode.

Ninja Gaiden games on Master Ninja. You almost can't defeat some of the bosses without exploits. Also Malenia in Elden Ring gave me trouble, but it's not even close.

hatred alone with no mods was kinda hard too

Crash Bandicoot 4 if you go for 100%, which I did.

Bloodborne, I finished it back in 2015 but I don't think I'd be able to play those super hard games now.

Prolly the first few megamans

I feel like there should be a distinction between hard and unfair. Darkest dungeon is an unfair game, it often punishes you with bad RNG so i ended up becoming frustrated with it and did not even finish it.

While Sekiro is hard to learn, but an amazing experience once you understand it. A hard game, should reward a player for making good decisions.

I don't even want to play these types of games.
Literal life simulators and I fucking hate real life and humans.

LoL, that was easy to beat. xD

Wtf, man? Cheater.

This.

When games turn into life simulators where it's basically "tough kuck buttercup, better luck in the next life" I am out.

This is why I play games in the first place.
I like being rewarded for being good and putting in the work.

Irl you get fucked in the ass if you are a sub8 and put in the work and are good.

Counter strike

Far Cry 1 is up there.

that FUCKING frog game on the Nintendo 3DS

Yeah, there's nothing more frustrating than a game not respecting your efforts and time. We already got fucked by life being sub5, i don't need a game to keep fucking me over lol.

ngl i dont really like hard games. my life is hard enough anyway, why should i go home and rage on some game.

Dark Souls 2

Got soft locked on the three ruin sentinels

And Geometry Dash

Alien Isolation. It’s infuriating and yet strangely cool.

Unfortunately you play as a sarcastic annoying foid but at least she dies at the end ejected into space like Major Tom so it’s okay.

I was manic once and completed 50 runs of Getting Over It

That wasn't fun at all.

xcom 2 hoi 4

Sonic Unleashed

Still I'm saying about that game

Workers and Resources
400h took me for creating first city which isn't going bankrupt after a few years

Ofc I could play with lower level of difficulty, but most realistic modes like hard and realistic (!) are hard to even learn to play

...
Maybe Terraria on master mode and one life

doom slaughter maps and mhfu g rank

also lobotomy corp.

I thought hard about this question.

The Bouncer

Tough game

Devil May Cry

AnothER tough game

Probably Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, it's the only soulslike that I've given up on

Single player games will never be "hard", you just learn them, learn one strategy and then you beat the game easily. You have to play competitive online multiplayer games, those are the real "hardest" vidya you can play as you are playing against other people and there is almost no limit.

Probably SMT Nocturne if you do TDE
