I have a series X, but I've specifically bought it as a hardware banned console, for a much lowwer price, thinking that I could at least play it offline because I don't care about multiplayer anymore. I have done my research as well, but it turns out that as a hardware banned console it is completely useless.
Afaik I can't even watch blueray mpvies on it despite it having a blueray drive because for that I need the app and in order to download apps I must be signed into an account, which I can't do because it is hardware banned.
I also cannot save my progress in games, because that is stored in the cloud, always, and for that I must be signed into an account as well.
I could turn the console to my home console, which apparently allows you to save progress offline a d play offline, but you MUST be connected to the internet at least ones and signed into your account to set it up and since I can't sign into any account due to the hardware ban, I am shit out of luck.
They do the same on the xbox one platform as well.
Imo, don't ever buy an xbox console. You literally do not own your hardware.
And so what someone tries to hack their own console? They have bought it, it is theirs.

Buy them second hand, tops, and make sure to buy the disc versions. Buy the games used as well, so Mocrosoft won't get a dime.

On my xbox I mostly play old games, like 2018 tops, in some cases.
I have to try Titanfall 2 yet, but I assume that it is another "muh freedom and democracy vs evil fascists / patriarchs / dictators" shooter, just like Killzone, for example.
Killzone is super old yet even back then the normscum would collectively jerk off to killing an alternative vision of space Nazis.
