In nominal translation using the black market rate your salary may be 250 dollars a month, but stuff is cheap using those exchange rates in Iran also. Of course USA and Israel have nuclear weapons, so Iran should also be allowed to have them like every other country. Germany, Italy and Japan and South Korea and Taiwan should have their own nuclear weapons. Ukraine should have nuclear weapons. The U.S.A. prevented Taiwan from having them and actively prevents South Korea from developing them even though North Korea has them and the majority of South Koreans in opinion polls say that they should have them also. The U.S.A. does not withdraw from Japan (and Germany) to keep Japan from getting nuclear weapons and a strong military and independent foreign policy. Though Japan has no need for expansion any more since their population is falling and projected to collapse. They had major problems in the past with their population growth and limited space so they needed to expand. And the U.S.A. put oil embargo on Japan (The U.S.A. was by far the biggest exporter of oil back then) and the rest is history.

What did I say that's wrong? Iran is looking to develop nuclear weapons (as they should, they have a very hostile neighbor), but they don't have it yet. They are either waiting for the right moment or having difficulties.

As for the other industries, they did have to develop it themselves because of the blockades. Recently, they have been selling millitary equipment to Russia.
