How kind the overall userbase is. The supposed "toxicity" of .is is greatly overblown.
Throughout my years on this site, the only times I received backlash from anyone was when I actually deserved it.

This is probably more so true for people that were newer to the incelosphere upon joining and lacked any previous exposure. But I'd argue it's true for everyone to an extent.
What surprised me the most is that there are well-respected users of all ethnicities/nationalities here, even Indians and Israelis.
Nobody here seems to care if you're not white, they won't treat you any differently.

To be honest i was nervous when joining as i didn't think i'd get along with anyone but i remember @ItsovERfucks and @NEB.feelsdevil being welcoming to me at the start

I was surprised at how extremely gracious, patient and generous the staff on here are. This turned out to be the one place on the internet where you don't have to stay clear of the mods in order to avoid getting warnings or bans for nonsense reasons. Likewise infiltrators and rule-breakers are dealt with swiftly, and I have never encountered any illegal or unpleasant content here so they clearly put in a lot of work. It is also extremely unusual to see moderators who actively participate in their community like they do, even Master himself chimes in on threads every now and then. I mean, I didn't even expect to have my application be approved so my expectations were already exceeded even there. Apologies to the mods for all the times I spoke ill of them before, I happen to be a very paranoid and mistrusting person.
In much the same way I was happy to confirm that the entirety of the userbase here isn't all alts of Master or similar, and that the site isn't a front for something else. Though for someone as conspiratorially minded as me I suppose that's still up for debate... Either way I think that this might just be the one place on the internet with the highest concentration of real individuals, and actually conscious and intelligent ones at that. This was especially surprising for all the other fellow GrAYs who joined this year, I would have the long established users here to be the only ones worth talking to. I was pretty surprised to see established users engage with GrAYs in general, because that shows that this isn't a social group with a logo like all other places on the internet, the main reason users post here still seems to be to discuss things. I would say that it is the majority, but I guess that what being "acceptive" and "nice" is considered to be is subjective. Even when two users might strongly disagree on something, or even troll and ragebait each other in one thread I find that they will most likely find themselves getting along again in another thread. I have not seen any users who consistently treat each other like enemies at all times, and that is another exceptional thing about the userbase on this forum. There is of course no brotherhood here, but I would say that there is camaraderie.
That is true to some degree, but each user is still unique. It is interesting to learn about all the different attitudes on here, I am still not finished with mapping out all the major ones for myself mentally.
Well...I've been lurking for a while before I signed up, so I had a general idea of the forum, but I was pleasantly suprised by how nice everyone was to me, even when I was a gray.
