What is my real height?

When I get measured in clinics using stadiometers, I'm always 6'0 (183 cm) barefoot, same when I measure myself on those height chart stickers on the wall.

However everytime I measure myself in my house using a tape measure, an L-Square ruler, a pencil and a wall, I'm only 181 cm (facing the wall) and sometimes 180 after some repetition.

Annoying.

I like to believe that I'm actually 183 cm though and that I just didn't get to measure myself correctly or the wall is just uneven.

you're measuring yourself so your results will usual always be a bit off. I get 5'7'' every time I go to the doctor, but when I measure myself I sometimes get 5'5'' or get 5''8.

Man that's pretty big of a difference.

The doctors are going to be more accurate then trying yourself. Also you got to take in account that you slightly shrink over the course of the day.
