Jesus came so we may have eternal life (John 3:16). Yet we know for a fact that that's impossible. Yet immortality does exist in one sense: children. Could this be what Jesus have meant? It's said you need to be born again (John 3:3). That's impossible, but your children are literally born, so it does seem like this is what is actually meant by that. Jesus was for sure a natalist since he condemned fornication, or in other words homosexuality, because you can't reproduce homosexually. Natalism may be why the book of a Leviticus condemned homosexuality and bestiality.

No, he's referring to the afterlife, obviously.

A secular perspective is interesting. The Hail Mary prayer says:

Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Why is Mary blessed? Because she became a mother. Why is her fruit of the womb blessed? Because he was given the gift of life.

Dont know, catholicism allow asceticism and isolation.

This protestant way of thinking is strange for me.

I don't know if that old man actually said that, but logically it must be true.
