“You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

I think this is about masturbation. Pornography involves "look[ing] at a woman to lust." It seems pornography existed before photography, so maybe this is what Jesus was thinking about:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_erotic_depictions

But he said it's adultery, which refers to married people. Why is masturbation bad? I think it's because of the story of Onan where Onan was punished by God for wasting semen instead of reproducing. Perhaps Jesus said this because he'd prefer a couple to reproduce rather than to not by masturbating. Not reproducing is adultery in the heart. I guess every sperm is sacred, as this song goes:

The Bible says:

He said to his disciples, “Hard trials and temptations are bound to come, but too bad for whoever brings them on! Better to wear a concrete vest and take a swim with the fishes than give even one of these dear little ones a hard time!

I think this can be a natalist verse. If giving little ones a hard time is so bad, then maybe Jesus is against abortion too since most people probably think that's worse than a hard time... While some translations use the word "children," I think "little ones" sounds like children too. One translation uses the word "hurt." Other translations say something like: "cause one of these little ones to sin." I think that can be pro-life too. I'm not sure though.

I think that religious books are full of metaphors. We are not supposed to take the words literally, the words are supposed to act as metaphors.

To gatekeep esoteric knowledge, people in the past used to use a lot of metaphors .

All these verses have to be taken within context. Masturbation is objectively positive.

This is something early Christians borrowed from the gnostics.

Sometimes i wonder how much of that is a translation error, since it was written in latin or hebrew or whatever with like a fifth of our modern vocabulary, concepts like masturbation (I mean idk how they fap without material back in B.C.) probably doesn't exist or at least not well developed

The Children of Eber is a synonym for the earliest cultural Hebrews first mentioned in Genesis 10:21.
The name means beyond, or to cross over identifying his descendants as people from the other side.

Idk, I take this to not just mean those who goon but also just those who look at a women and think of doing sexual things with them for pleasure (without being married to them). But of course in modern times this mostly manifests as gooning.

He is. For a religion to survive for dozens of centuries, it must first and foremost be an extreme form of natalism.
