Discussion What emotions do nostalgia evoke in you?

To me, it brings me a shit ton of sadness.

It used to be just a little bit of sadness (like 50% sadness and like 50% happiness), but now it brings me like 90% sadness 10% happiness.

I saw a video that said something like,

"That feeling when you realize you can never play Minecraft split screen with your younger brother again."

This shit damn near got me tearing up because I realize I'll probably never feel that happy ever again in my life

I could technically play Minecraft with him but it won't hit the same.

yeah, its mostly sadness for me too. I also feel a little envy for my naive young self who was still capable of enjoying the little things in life, and still possessed a sense of wonder and curiosity. Everything was so fresh and new, now its all monotonous and bleak

I was always a retard then and now, just that back then I had the hope I would grow up into a normal person. Now I know it's over and just float through the day to day motions. I miss having hope of a better, real life. Not this pathetic fake life of screens 16 hours a day to simulate human connection and experiences.
