It's important for them because a person that is not NT usually is an outcast or is not as well-adjusted and successful as others (might not give her the resources she craves, or the social status/envy from her gal pals would be reduced). Even Newton, who was incredibly intelligent and a true genius, was a virgin cause he was very far from NT (and also ugly presumably, good looks make not being NT irrelevant, women would pretty much fuck a retard if he was hot).
Neurotypical is non-autistic, it means to be socially suave and able to form a social circle. Something an autist like me is unable to do.
