My own list is extensive. It isn't easy to decide where to start in listing them. So I'll start with the most recent.
For years, I've been maintaining two blogs at an adult blogging site called BDSMLR. When Tumblr decided to purge all its adult blogs, a mass exodus happened to other sites that allowed this sort of content. Many of us resettled to BDSMLR (including me). To call it a rickety service is an understatement. The endless amount of technical problems users had to put up with was shameful, but beggars can't be choosers, right?
I never posted anything that wasn't freely available elsewhere on the net. My only purpose there was to gather artwork and related material on the subject under one roof for easy criticism and discussion. A "One Stop Shop," if you like. No one had any complaints for years, and I had gathered over 650 followers.
Then, last month, I reported a technical problem, which, I am sure, brought my blogs to the attention of some easily offended weenie looking for ways to justify being on the payroll and overnight my blogs were erased and I was banned.
They tell you that you can appeal. A lie. They can't even be bothered to tell you what, specifically, violated their TOS. They simply throw the entire list at you and somehow expect you to figure it out. No warnings. No time to save your postings before eradication, either.
All I got from them in response to my polite inquiry was two very vague words: "Won't do."
Followed by a request to rate their performance in handling the issue! Seriously!?
So I gave them one star and promised them that I would add my voice to the others who have, no doubt, been treated this way and spread the word about them.
Avoid BDSMLR at all costs.
Aside from what I already said here, they enforce their rules selectively. They've got some genuine long-term TOS violators that they've never had a problem with, who in all likelihood will still be there for a long time to come.
I'll be adding more to this thread as I remember them. I want to read your lists, too.
