What are the best Hitman games ?

Last year i played Hitman (2016) and i really enjoyed it. I also played Hitman Absolution but i didnt enjoy it because it was too linear and you couldnt save, not allowing you to try to out multiple ways to kill a target. What other Hitman games are more similar to Hitman (2016) ?

Blood money is fun. It doesn't hold your hand as much as the newer games do

Blood Money gives you a ton of freedom in how you kill your targets. Contracts is non-linear too, but not as open. It also has the best atmosphere, imo. You’ll need to install some fixes to get Contracts working properly on a modern PC though.

depends on what you consider outdated. If you have tolerance for something like gta san andreas graphics then its fine

Yeah, it’s dated, but it still holds up imo because of the stylized look.

Absolution is universally regarded as worst game in the series.

If you've already played H2 and H3, I would say that Blood Money is the closest to what you are looking for. Contracts and Silent Assassin are really good as well, though the latter is quite a difficult game due to the paranoid guard AI.
