none really cuz remakes usually are downgrades and cashgrabs
and original ends up mogging
So prolly sth that had potential and flopped
but I'm gonna indulge. Assuming they are made well:
RE1 (probably gonna happen eventually)
I also wanted code Veronica and it's announced 2027
Shade wrath of angels
Total overdose
Dead or alive 4 (graphics update only really)
Bioshock 1 n 2 (fuck infinite)
cod 1 n 2 campaign
Dino Crisis 1 n 2 !!!
half life opposing force and blue shift
timeshift
All harry potter games suck so those maybe
Croc
Maybe the oldest of GTAs including 1 n 2
Fallout 1 to 3 and ES 1 to 3 but done by some1 competent not Bethesda
some of the best classic NFS titles
Deus ex
Dooms 1-3
probably many old af games which are 2d or fixed camera.
Afaik you can get a remastered version of Croc on GOG. I remember seeing it. I have never played it as a kid.
Only tried out the OG on an emulator. The controls are clunky af. Nothing to like about it. As a platformer it sucks as.
But afaik the controls have been reworked also.
Check it out if you like the game.
I'd be down for a remaster of GTA 1 and 2 but I'd want them to keep the top down gameplay and make it a mix of 3D and 2D sprites apparently, as in the original.
Just rework all textures and such, make them more detailed and keep the art style. Add stuff like smoking chimneys, night and day cycle, maybe even seasons which can be toggled by the player as well.
I'd like the same treatment for Doom 1 & 2.
Dino Crisis 1 & 2 as well as Parasite Eve should also just be strict remasters.
Btw, I remember that there were differences between the GTA II versions on consoles and PC.
Afaik overall the Sega Dreamcast version was the best, with actual headlight shining at night.
That version apparently also had day and night cycle.
But the problem with strictly remastering old games such as these is that those games were made for actual gamers, not casual fuckfaced normies.
I doubt that they would sell well enough. Normie casuals like fucking movie games and QTEs. QTEs fucking everywhere.
Normies don't want to think, they don't want to devise a strategy, they don't want to plan ahead, calculate, estimate.
Normies want interactive movies.
Literally this is what some console manufacturers have tried to do and failed miserably.
But nowadays, for some reason, this scum has discovered video games... and there are more of them than there are of us, which is why todays devs will have to cater to those masses because the boss has said so.
