I prefer Eastern values. E.g. honesty. Honesty is good but if I'm ugly I already know that I'm ugly. I don't need strangers to remind me about that. And honesty can easily turn into rudeness. Eastern cultures where they at least pretend that you're a human and not openly offend you seem more reasonable.
