Same can be said for the left in Quebec or some of the old civil rights figures in the USA who wanted an autonomous state for Black people only. From my understanding, the western left opposes white nationalism because it's synonymous with imperialism (scramble for Africa, Cecil Rhodes, Apartheid yadayadayada) BUT EVEN SO, the left supported freeing Ireland, Communist Albania and Romania which were all nationalist despite being in Europe.

Are those really the same people who say things like that? Often i think they are, most often they really just are hypocrites.

Some of them believe in some babble called "national liberation", pretty much they only believe small or "oppressed" nations can have nationalism (because it would encourage worker revolution or something) but big countries like Britain, Italy etc can't have nationalism because their nationalism is "bourgeouise" or corporate.
