Isn't it strange how the culture on the left seems to involve disliking the other side a lot more

I remember when I was on the left a friend of mine told me she was on the right (essentially) and preempted my very negative reaction, basically. Like "OK I know you don't agree but these are my views and please respect them".

And it actually worked, lol. I stopped being hard on her about it and just moved on.

To be fair I was never really bad don't worry, but definitely enough that it feels alien to me now.

She had a boyfriend by the way so don't give me any trouble over her being female, lol

Anyway, I'm on the right now but... it's weird isn't it how it seems baked in to the left-wing worldview to be much harder on the other side.
