Back in the 2000s it was easier to catfish people. I was catfished a few times by my so called friends.

But one time my friends catfished a girl while pretending to be me. They created an account on a website, filled in the profile with my details, but didn't upload a photo of me.

They messaged gay men for a while. They then messaged this overweight lady, who fell for it. She only found out it was a hoax after they made her ring my parents house and ask for me. I told her what was going on.
