Serious Weekends are boring if you're a friendless NEET

Since I am a NEET, I don't have any obligations on the weekdays, and it's also when everything is open while not being so crowded. I go to the grocery store during wagie work hours and it's so peaceful and fast to get what I need. I sit at the park or walk the trail that are not super crowded. I don't have to wait in line for the best restaurants.

On the other hand, weekends are when a lot of places I need to go to are closed (such as the medical clinics or places I need to go to get some errands done), and places like grocery stores, malls, restaurants, parks, and recreational areas are packed with people.

It's been Saturday and Sunday, and I spent all day doing fucking nothing except grocery shopping and shitposting online. I am sick so I can't work out either. I am waiting to hear back from public housing and getting NEETbux so I can get the fuck out of this homeless halfway house I am currently staying at, so it was a drag waiting over the weekend to get that shit done too.

yeah exactly, and i am living in the hood so the weekends is when people start blasting their hood music out in loud speakers outside and neighbors are blasting dubstep shit with subwoofers till like 3 in the morning and i cant fucking sleep. oh and there's someone always smoking weed or cigarettes so you dont get fresh air by opening the door. My mentally ill neighbor on the other side of the wall in a different unit smokes in her room and it seeps into my room. No heater or AC either, it was miserable during a heat wave and thought I was going to have a heat stroke, thought one of my roommates was gonna have a heat stroke so I forced him to line his windows with aluminum foil too like I did. I lost my appetite and barely peed despite drinking a ton of water because of how hot it was. There is no fire detector in the units so I dont even know if this building is in legal regs JFL

It sucks being in the halfway house, sure it's better being literally outside and getting stabbed by another hobo but it could be better. I shit in my room on the regular because the bathroom is so fucking nasty that i share with 3 others, like there is mold and the toilet has diarrhea blasted all over the toilet seat, and I've shared bathrooms with roommates before, that's not the issue, it's the type of roommates. Homeless people and people who hit rock bottom aren't gonna be the best roommates. It's demoralizing and degrading. At least I have my own room with a key, so it's really better than most setups for homeless people, but it's definitely a hood setup. A lot of creature comforts we take for granted like heater/AC, kitchen, etc. isn't here. Oh yeah there is no kitchen and the microwave is broken, so I eat frozen and canned stuff on the regular.

I got approved for the section 8 housing voucher and I found a unit to rent, but it's taking forever for the landlord to get approved with the housing department. It's been a month and a half since I found the unit. It passed inspection but apparently the landlord forgot to mention the type of building it is in, so the paperwork got pushed back for another who-knows-how-fucking-long. But the unit is in a nice area of Manhattan and even my caseworker is surprised that I found this place, and the landlord is willing to take the voucher, I really lucked out. It's the waiting part that is infuriating and I am trying to get out of here before summer starts because it will be fucking brutal with the heat and no AC

it was supposed to be like two weeks ago or last week (if everything went smoothly), but i am guessing next week the landlord might get the approval from the housing dept for me to move in. I follow up with the caseworker this week to see if there will be any update. I've been living in this halfway house for over 3 months now. I can't believe it went by that fast. I left Chicago in middle of January to move to NYC with no plan, not knowing anyone, no job or rent lined up.

My life is on hold until I move in and get a permanent address, because I need the address to get a new driver's license, book a flight back to Chicago so I can ship all my shit in storage to my new NYC address, and also to start an LLC for my business so I can start adding IP and copyrights on it, and start looking for work in the neighborhood. I am already sending out job applications using the new address though I don't have a lease yet.
