We are not inherently born with traits that guarantee happiness. As children, we desire everything that captures our attention, and we struggle to accept the reality that we cannot attain everything we desire. This leads to frequent bouts of crying, as we believe that happiness is synonymous with obtaining whatever pleases our senses. Consequently, when we fail to acquire these desires, we experience suffering.
It appears that Mother Nature has wired us to relentlessly pursue accomplishments, often overlooking our individual happiness. In this context, one could argue that our contentment is of secondary importance, while the primary focus remains on achieving various milestones.
