The plot: a guy who is not conceived through genes selection, therefore is not perfect, for example, he has bad vision. But he wants so bad to go to space that he fakes he was made through genes selection( what in the movie is called "valid") to get into a space mission
Just so that you know it I defend eugenics as the best solution for inceldom.
So comparing with the movie:
First of all I would do what they did in the movie. Apply eugenics to have the best humans possible. No glasses, no disadvantages, no diseases... The movie is anti-eugenics bc what If there's a guy who wants to archive their dreams but he can't bc he is not valid. Well the problem wouldn't be there bc he wouldn't have been born
Secondly, we live in gattaca universe. We incels, the people with the worst genetics are margined from society, from life, from love. Literally there's already a discrimination for invalid people. The only difference is that those invalids are not in a database.
Third, the movie is wrong. If you have seen it, you might remember the scene in which Vicent had to fake his heart beat in a running test. Well, if there's such test probably is bc he will need it in the mission, he was not prepared for it
