... since 30 years.

An average looking man such as circa-1985 Jonathan Pryce would never be able to land a leading role in a major film nowadays. Hollywood is currently overrun by Chads. The whole world is overrun by chads.

If we were born 50 years earlier, we probably would not face the sexual clusterfuck we currently are in.

Tinder cucked us all

Great movie btw. I love the theme music of it.

Blame Tinder and social media, the jews make tons of money while we have to work 10x as hard as the previous generations to even have a chance to get a GF

That guy would be an incel today and not even on TV

Internet Social Media, facebook, tinder - Women get contacted by so many men now they get to chose the best of the lot and it increases competition of males having to looks max

Looksmax material probably didn't exist in that time or if it did was limited to small group of men and vast majority of women probably weren't in contact with those guys but now with the internet women have that wide variety of males to choose from so Males are having to look up male model gym regimes and diets to stand a chance and looks maxing all in the hopes to impress females who have already so many options

Sounds like an extreme theory at first, but the more I think about it, the more truth there is to it.

Social media and dating apps wrecked the sexual marketplace for sub 7 guys, let alone the sub 5.

Not true. There are still movie roles for ugly men around because there's only one lead actor needed in most movies. Ugly men are often casted as sidekicks of the hero, comic relief or character roles.

To be fair, Gilliam goes for the bizarre looking in all things, so he probly felt he had a certain je ne sais quoi

Men's beauty standards are constantly rising at exponential speeds ever since the 2010s began. Looks matching was easier still in the 2000s. Some people claim it's always been the same, but that's not true. Blame social media and dating sites/apps.
