Context of the video: the Iraqi Army has launched a comprehensive multi-billion operation in the Rutba sector to fight off 1S remnants. However, ISOF has been ambushed this morning by a car b0mb followed by a violent crossfire from all sides. Yes, there is a dust storm currently sweeping across Central Iraq.

This is the first use of a SVB1ED in Iraq since 2018, which means the terror!sts are now shifting tactics due to the instability happening in Eastern Syria (a lack of security due to the withdrawal of US forces, allowing terror!sts to bolster their military capabilities). The US might soon respond with massive airstrikes or counterterror operations spearheaded by SF units against !S leaders in the Iraqi desert (most !S terror1sts and leaders in Syria have relocated to Iraq since last December).

Is that a sandstorm? Looks crazy

Yup, and terror!sts are also burning crop fields in multiple governorates near Baghdad (Diyala and Salah ad-Din), which adds more salt to the wound. It's the terror harvest season (burning crop fields and downing transmission towers).

why don't they seize the crop fields? I thought ISIS and Al Qaeda explored soft power and building infrastructure

Brutal stuff man

Because they have no strategic value and 1S cells are scattered around the country in Sunni majority localities (like in Tarmiyah district) in 3-5 men groups in total. Seizing a crop field would mean getting flanked by security forces in a matter of an hour. They have never seized "crop fields" or gas fields (in the case for the gas fields near al-Sukhnah during the peak of !S insurgency in Badiyah that ended last December), even during the original insurgency during the late 2000s. The only military strategies applied by the terror1sts are (apparently) mounting qualitative ambushes against lone Iraqi Army patrols during major counter-terror1st operations and sporadic raids against isolated surveillance outposts (they haven't attacked a single outpost since last year because of the following possible reasons: major pressure received from the Iraqi army OR terror1sts already receive enough ammunition supplies through the Syrian border, which means terror!sts can easily infiltrate through the al-Jazira desert on the Syrian sector despite claims from the Iraqi government of having secured the border from further infiltrations (which has been proven to be false multiple times)).

I think the real danger is on Africa at this current moment. Burkina Faso might collapse before 2027 and most West African governments aren't prepared for facing major terror!st offensives. JNIM already has dozens of thousands of fighters at their disposal, and not to mention other terror groups like 1SGS.

If the Sahel Belt collapses, then North Africa will follow next (Libya). Europe will suffer from the upcoming security collapse in West Africa (more terror1sts will infiltrate Europe).

Good point. I miss terrorist attacks on developed world, they were exciting to watch lol

There are no terror attacks because the Iraqi government is being pumped up with Western intelligence (primarily provided by the Americans). Given the current circumstances, it could take a couple of years for !S to upgrade their capabilities so in order to be able to strike main cities (or mounting large raids directed against military barracks, too). The US and the global economy will soon take a hit from a major recession. Remember 2008? Oh boy... this time it'll be much worse, and the Americans will be forced to pull back from many of these fronts, and Iraq is nothing without the reliance from Western powers (again, the US).

ISIS probably spent millions smuggling AK, making bombs and training.

Why don't IS just beefen up their propaganda effort instead? A suicidal Muslim man could be convinced to rent a truck instead of stabbing like 2-3 people.

(I don't tsupport these attacks, just a hypothetical question)

Why don't IS just beefen up their propaganda effort instead?
Because Western powers (and most Arab states) have been successfully leading the media campaign against terror!sts since a decade ago. !S is only able to spread their propaganda through their .onion sites before they are taken down by law enforcement (in a matter of months as they keep creating websites and paying for off-shore hosting providers through middlemen). Back in 2015, most major social platforms lacked the security features they have today. In fact, the new Syrian government is also participating in anti-!S propaganda campaign efforts like the Taliban too (especially on Twitter where most pro-Joulani activists are starting to post anti-!S propaganda out of nowhere... after Joulani met with Trump last week... interesting to say the least).

Did you know the Taliban regime has its own media apparatus where they usually spread anti-!S propaganda in English (calling them khawarij a million times while providing easily refutable arguments)? I wonder why. Also, Al-Mersaad has its own verified account on Twitter.
