What I mean are social media, such as Reddit, Discord, Twitter and Instagram. On instagram you don't use a picture of yourself because you have low self-steem so you just use a character or person that you're obsessed with as your pfp. Your friend list, friend request, notifications, chats, are all dead.

I want friends, but it's hard making friends for me, even online.

I'm always ignored and outcasted irl, all social medias, and this forum. I used to be in a discord server and I noticed that some giga nt fag admin didn't like me for whatever reason, always disagreeing with me, and being angry at me for whatever I said. Then when I announced that I would quit discord, he told me he never liked me and said that I seemed autistic.

I also have the feeling that timezones are a significant problem. When you are 7 hours away, you essentially never have time for a synchronous chat because either one of you is either working or sleeping.

yeah i think its probably best to have online friends from the same country/region, you also get to relate more and have more things in common to talk about and conversations dont fizzle out as easily

Something similar happens to me. I want to have friends and talk, but in the rare moments I can talk to someone I start to get irritated if they don't answer quickly. If I'm talking to someone for some weeks/months, I notice they never message my first and if I stop messaging the friendship just ends. So I block them. I wish I could find someone who had as much time to talk as me.

It's good knowing people from another countries, especially if it's a country you're interested in. I dream of knowing a japanese foid so she can translate manga for me and teach me some japanese, or anyone from Finland, because I'm obsessed with that country because of a videogame.

Well, I don't mind when they answer and I don't block. But yeah, there have been exactly two persons who have messaged me first after the initial contact period in all my life on social media, and one of them ghosted me, the other is my only semi-friend because he never initiates, but also always answers.

But I never block them for that. Some randomly send me a message after a few months, like they want to talk again, but then don't.

OR be me : had loads of casual "friends" online , a somewhat popular discord ( this was in 2018-19 ) , there was never a quite moment i always had someone hitting me up .

until one day i grew up and realized none of it amount to anything . even if these so called internet friends genuinely care for me , i couldn't give less of a fuck about their lives.

the inside jokes and the banter we had got old . everything has an expiry, of course

perhaps i am deeply depressed (?) . idk . but i don't seem to have even a bit of curiosity left in me anymore to even be out there making friends . it feels like such a bore .

what is there to be gained talking to another fucking incel/normie/whatever half way across the world ?
