you can actually say anything you want here. yes you can even glorify ER and mass shooters, or joke about going ER. feds only look at your internet posts or search history AFTER you commit a felony, not before. theres just too many death threads on the internet and just making a joke wont make feds go after you. but what you cannot do under any circumstance is threaten a specific person or specific community. the chances of you getting arrested for it is doubled if you live nearby that person or community. so yeah

With all respect, that's not true at all!- There are numerous accounts of law enforcement visits to people who post threats online, without having committed any felonies-- including at least one on this forum, and several that have been mentioned in the news.

They don't typically arrest you at that stage, but they have definitely come to people's houses to speak to them, and yes sometimes that has been based solely on Internet posts.
