I am more neutral on the war now. I am leaning towards the best outcome might be it ending with Ukraine divided between the West and Russia.
Here is something I have been arguing since the start of the war. Say Russia was like the Central Asian Muslim countries, with a high birthrate, enforced monogamy, families staying together. Plus what Russia is good at, having cheap electricity, fuel, housing, food and water for everybody. This would present a very serious competitor civilization to the West. I think it is evolving towards this as Russia gets demographically taken over by Central Asian Muslims.
Problem for Russia right now is it also has low birthrates, its at the same level as the EU. And the divorce rate in Russia is somehow higher than in the West.
Right now I view the main argument in Russia's favor. Is the EU seems like this feudal rentier capitalism. Where you get low wages, yet everything to live rent, heating, water, food is expensive and gets worse. And you are never allowed free enterprise from a wall of license, permits, quotas & regulations barriers. So being a low paid worker serf for the WEF guys is shitty.
Russia is also this hierarchical class society where they basically rebuilt their aristocracy. But at least they kept their Soviet era ideas to provide cheap housing, heating, fuel, water and food for everybody. That is a powerful argument in favor of Russia in the ex-Warsaw Pact countries.
