I'm not American but discovered him by accident. Given how angry modern Americans are with things like inequality and general living expenses, I'm surprised he hasn't been dug up as some sort of old hero. He would be far too controversial in the modern era though given that he was almost like an American variant of Mussolini and was a sort of dictator.
