First a little bit of a background. Japanese is ranked among one of, if not, the hardest languages to learn as a native English speaker and takes 2,000+ (more like 4,000+) hours to become fluent according to the US Foreign Institution [1]. Successful acquisition of a foreign language is already extremely low, and even lower for Japanese; just look at the pass rates for the JLPTs (Japanese languange profienciey tests). N5 (the easiest level) had the highest pass rate, which was barely over 50% as of July 2025 [2]. Importantly, while intelligence is correlated with language learning outcomes, personality traits actually explain more variation in language learning outcomes than raw cognitive abilities [3] (traits include openness, conscientious, and extroversion which I doubt many incel users would score high on, but my point still stands, raw intelligence is not the biggest predictor of successful language acquisition). So don't feel discouraged if you are a lowiqcell.

Furthermore, Japan probably has the largest amount of content aimed at incels (and no, not the fag animes that most normies watch). So many light novels, visual novels, and manga targeted at incels that will forever only be in Japanese with no hopes of a good translation. Most content translated to English is likely to be of poor quality or ruined by libtards and troons anyway.

Now here is why weebscels and animecels have an advantage in language acquisition. in It is highly unlikely that the average normiefag would ever succeed in learning Japanese, the only expectation is if they have high an abnormally high verbal intelligence (rare, but still possible). They simply do not have the time or motive to learn Japanese. They will most likely become a cuckwage slave and take care of their stepkids :lul::lul:. Us weebcels have the perfect opportunity to learn the Japanese language!!!! Us NEET/LDAR weebcels likely have more time then we know what to do with and can spend a good amount of time learning the language. Even If it takes us 10+ years who cares? It's not like there is a virgin foid waiting for us in the future or we are going to suddenly stop being a weebcel.

*Note even if you are not a weebcel, sub Japanese for any other language and my point still stands.

Because that takes effort and is cringe

Would take too long + I don't live in Japan

The way I look it at is, I will likely be a weeb even in 10+ years, so I'll still benefit no matter how long it takes.

you will never be fluent and it will make no difference into getting accepted by japs

I'm not a faggot like you.

More so difficulty
If I can get past the learning curve then im going ahead

Honestly becoming fluent in Japanese is rather useless for an incel, as we normally dont interact with people much. I guess i should have used the word proficient instead of fluent on my post, you should learn Japanese for listening/reading comprehension rather than speech/writing production (which also happens to be easier).

ok, but what is the added value (esp for incels) in learning japanese? Maybe im missing your point.

I love anime and sexy anime girls.

The Japanese equivalent to inceldom has been around much longer in Japan and is more 'normal' to them than inceldom is to westerners. Many content that clearly expresses incel views or has incel characters are exclusively in Japanese. There isn't really a westerner equivalent that hosts such intel-centered content. Learning Japanese grants an almost endless amount of incel-targeted media. But this is geared who incels who like anime, manga, etc. If you don't enjoy such content there is really no point, but you could always learn a different language you're interested in.

nibba just watch Densha Otoko with subs, that's enough jap betaness for a lifetime

Inceldom Discussed

Most anime are being translated already . And ai is a thing .

I will never be a weeb.
If I was going to learn another tongue, it would be one that covers a substantial portion of the globe, like Spanish, Arabic, or French.
Even Chinese is spoken by more people.
You can't have watched as much anime as I have, and not pick up a lot of the repeated words and what they mean, because weebs make a lot of noise against dubbing -- and the distribution companies listen to them. Too goddamned many titles that sound interesting are only available subbed. So it is THAT or nothing.
I never watched this stuff to learn Japanese culture. I watched it to be entertained. If the dub loses some little nuance in the translation, I could not care less.
Please don't regale me with all the standard reasons why subs are superior. I've shot them all down before -- and I'm prepared to do it again.
If listening to people saying things you don't understand is your fetish, just say so.

Having said all that, it is with a heavy heart that I must admit that even dubs are dead to me now, because of KickVic and just Woke, in general polluting the story.

Light novels, manga, and visual novels easily clear anime. I only included anime in the title to get more views; there's not much of a point to learn Japanese for anime as most of it gets translated. However, most visual and light novels go completely untranslated; which leaves a lot to be desired for English only speakers.

It’s worthless unless you plan to move to Japan.

Even then, Japanese people will always view you as a dumb gaijin who doesn’t belong in Japan, no matter how good your Japanese is.

Manga is an expensive hobby. Still, I have liked what I managed to read. Parasyte was good. Never thought they'd ever get around to animating it, and it wasn't bad, what they did. Death Note parallels the anime version up until the end. I'll give the edge to the Ranma manga over the OG anime (and I love the anime, btw) because it's complete.
I doubt there will be anything more coming out in the Full Metal Panic! anime, so I started reading the novels just to see how it's all supposed to end. Geez, turns out I like the novels even better.

Learn one of the hardest languages, that takes much effort and time, to be able to consume that one particular language's media to cope???

Sumimasen, but i'm good. Life is too short to learn Japanese

But if you're a weebcel sure, it brings you happiness

Don't kid yourself greycel, most of the forum is too low IQ to even scratch that surface.

I even tried it myself about 18 years ago when i was Neeting about 3-4 years after high school, and quickly realized it would be a massive waste of time.

Borderline impossible for someone who has nothing to do with anything Japan related beyond video games and a couple of cartoons.

Too hard. Also, there is still many content that at least translated to english. Why learn japanese when you can play some vn?

I've considered it but my struggles with my mental illness right now makes it hard for me to do anything that isn't fun or directly benefits me.

Already working on it. Been at it for the past 4 months. I still suck btw. :feelskek:

I recommend learning Japanese also.
I'm a little surprised that it's considered a difficult language for English speaker to learn and that even N5 of JLPT has around 50% pass rate. I've been studying in my free time (I find studying to reduce my general anxiety as I feel like "at least I'm doing something") and I've been passing a JLPT exam every 6 months.

I'm no genius but Im a wagecel as I don't have a luxury of social welfare or wealthy parents. So I guess my brain gets more daily exercise than someone who is LDARing. But Japanese can be learned easily especially if you consume a lot of japanese media. I picked answers based on what I heard on anime/movies during JLPT and gotten them right even if I didn't know the exact meaning.

There is more to Japanese media than just anime. Like it's been previously mentioned, light novel and some manga won't be translated due to subject matter. There is whole Japanese side of internet that is locked away from you if you cant get through the language barrier. Inceldom has been a thing for a lot longer in Japan (if you think life is messed up for men in north America, you've been on tutorial mode) and there is a wealth of knowledge to be gained.

Those who say that Japanese will never accept you, of course they won't. They still have unofficial caste system. It matters to them where in Japan you hail from, which family you belong to, your parents' job, etc. But nobody is learning Japanese to become Japanese. It's just to enrich your hobby.

Cause I'm never going there because they're country is getting raped and I sound retarded when I try to speak it

Would probably want to learn a language that is actually useful

Valid question Greycel

as someone who has picked up on Japanese out of necessity

western releases of retro jrpgs are expensive as shit

this is fucking stupid

Working on it. :feelsautistic:

don't bother to because it won't help me get pussy.
white-devil-gaijin.gif

I can barley speak English, let alone jap

I tried to learn a bit of it a while ago but then I ran out of motivation and energy, maybe I will attempt again at some point.

Are you bilingual perchance? I'm guessing so by the way you refer to 'English speaker' in the third person. If so, you probably have a huge advantage. I read some papers that bilinguals have more successful foreign language learning outcomes than monolinguals. What N level are you? If you're N4 that makes sense as it is only takes around a year to get there.

I'm too lazy.

Low ROI as far as ascending with a JP foid since they're just as chad only as western foids

Trilingual (English 1st, X 2nd and Japanese 3rd). Rather not go into too much as to not doxx myself.

Im currently studying for N1 (I've skipped N5&4, and went straight to N3 then N2).

For anyone who might be interested in learning Japanese, at lower levels I found Genki textbooks to be godsend. At higher level I rely heavily on 新完全マスタ series.

To those who think it's a waste of time to learn another language because you won't find a new family /partner in the new country, it has never been about that. It's just about enriching your hobby. It is so much easier to surf the net when you don't have to rely on some finicky extension or constantly copying and pasting to chatgpt. And I'm sure many of anime watchers have noticed that these localizers are messing with your subtitles. Don't rely on these diet Jews for your hobby/entertainment.

I have no motivation to.

what is the point? It's not like japan is a utopia except you are a whitecel then u get some chances there

I'm not going to bother learning to speak in mindless babble and cartoons. English is the only real language that sounds practical.

Seems like a waste of time.
