Discussion Tips for lucid dreaming?

I don't know if many of you lucid dream, I've never done it before and I haven't even really tried to but life has been feeling more depressing than usual lately so I want to find a new way to cope

If any of you have any tips, please share them

I don't think I'll try to have sex while lucid dreaming cause I heard it usually leads to waking up right away and I'm not really interested in it regardless. I've never experienced the real thing (not even through escorts) and the few times I've had sex in a dream it has been very uncomfortable for me. i've heard high doses of melatonin helps and focusing on something like tapping your fingers, I've never tried it because I experience sleep paralysis and I'm afraid it'll trigger it everynight but its what I've read online works to help induce a lucid dream that and waking up for a little bit during sleep then going back to sleep after like a hour
