Thoughts on Pac Man?

At work, we have a pac man arcade game and this made me wonder, what do you guys think of him. He is iconic, but nowhere near as popular as Mario, Sonic or Pikachu. I once owned a bandai Namco and played it on there and found the game quite difficult.

Which sounds exactly like paki, a racial slur for south east Asians in the UK
