Combine this with the EU on track to ban VPNs and enforcing IDs on all social media we are soon going to lose all internet anonymity which matches up perfectly with the ever worsening conditions and political violence in our era, my theory is that the governmental elites are incompetent on purpose so that they can use these anti-privacy measures to control the populace while under the guise of being tough on crime and protecting children.

They are already running into issues where the AI is eating its own generated content and it makes it stupider. They also need it to better profile you for advertising.

I never trusted the end to end encryption it’s mostly a placebo. If they can disable it and you can access your old messages that means they had a way of decrypting in the first place.
