overall a good story , if ur impacted by “shit endings” and that ruins the whole thing for you then mayb dont watch or read it, but i enjoyed the journey

I watched every season except the last. Didn't watch the last one cuz too much spoilers ruined it for me

Shitty last arc and shitty ending made my ass burn. Now idc that much, its just slop for normies

great though the author slipped up in the end

I lost interest part way through season 2. but a lot of ppl put it in their top 10 list

Thruhout the years ive heard liberal foids talk about it, Its too mainstream and i quit watching it, I even heard them talk about the characters sexually.

It had potential, but it just became meh...

But people overwhelmingly liked it.

I just thought the ending was trash, lol, that's all.

Don't bother, its ending is shit.

One of my favourite animes

It has an very cucked ending

so close to being perfect
def my fav anime of all time

The art style is gross to me.

Its terrible especially after s1

Ending was a miss I greatly enjoy the music

ups and downs to be honest, the journey I had watching it was some of the best. But after reading the visual novel that inspired it (Muv Luv Alternative) it feels like the same story set in a low fantasy setting lol

i've read my fair share of visual novels and it's probably one of the best, if not top 3 tbh. the only problem is that it unironically takes around 100 hours to read the entire thang

it mogs hard tbh. Probably some of the best worldbuilding I've seen in any media unironically. You already know it's like AoT, but it's probably that mixed with Starship Troopers. I like that the first game is a trojan horse masquerading as a regular romance vn, after you complete the routes of one of the two main girls the actual story starts

ah so kinda like higurashi in the sense its innocent in the beginning? how long does it take to get to the main storyline?

not that long. There's multiple routes in the first game but you only need to do one of two to unlock the second game, Sumika or Meiya, I recommend Sumika

I didn't like the ending when it first came out but it has grown on me over time. Hajime Isayama literally cried on stage apologising to fans for the ending. He knows that the fans wouldn't like it, but he still felt that he had to choose the ending he did. At a certain point you have to respect him for it. The fact that he stuck with the ending he wanted shows serious integrity.

As for the question, overall I liked it and I would recommend it. It is a series worth watching.

I hated everything about season 4, the characters, the new animation studio (mappa) and the worst offender the ending.

It’s the best anime of all time easily. The beginning starts off really simple and generic but it gets much more complex and starts delving into geopolitics and the themes of nationalism and the cycle of war. I will warn you the only thing bad about it is the fucking ending.

The ending was trash but other than that, season 4 is when the show actually started to get good for me due to the complex political themes. Before that it was just a extremely generic “kill big retarded zombies” show. It didn’t have any depth until season 4.

I don’t understand how a show can be 95% peak but just because the ending is bad people just retroactively go back and ignore the other 95% of peak, pretending it just doesn’t exist.

It's a bizarre cross between Fashlite and Woke anime. Still recommend it.
