Didn’t watch but if he’s equating modern female sexual selection with natual selection then it’s bs.
Once a species is socially organized, sexual and natural selection begin to separate anyway. It doesn’t necessarily require sapience or a society as advanced as that of modern humans. Lions are an example. The mane plays a huge role in sexual selection when the only functional role it plays is protecting the neck a bit + it’s actually worse in tropical environments because it provides unnecessary heat
