People think we live in a Sodom and Gomorrah type shit civilization. We are not even that. We are just an amalgamation of deep rooted mediocritiness that nobody will care to even remind themselves of, like a bad memory or a childhood flu.
I was reading a passage in a confucius book (analects) that compares different types of kingdoms.
He says something like: "x civilization left tradition and rites through their noteworthy intellectuals, so i can look them up and know them. Y civilization left nothing, so i cant do the same for them".
