Over the duration of birth cohorts taken from this study the Female Advantage Index has increased by a considerable margin, meaning there are more much more educated women and therefore more women in jobs. A normal hypothesis would be as the FAI increases, aka as women are more educated, the rate of hypergamy would decrease as there are a lesser number of men more educated than women to do hypergamy with. And for the the rise in the orange line in the orignal first graph (hypogamy), not the one directly above, it's just the demographic inevitability since women outnumber educated men, not a sign that women are suddenly desiring to “marry down.” Women in Latin America today are not only more educated than women in the 1920s, but more educated than men today, infact for the past 30 years. So the orange line only compensates for the decrease in equal marriages which is the blue line (homogamy).
Women have literally found it harder to do hypergamy and yet still manage to do it more than they did 100 years ago when they need a richer guy for survival a lot more somehow. You have to understand just how much they dislike the concept of not dating someone they think aren't 10 levels above them to be able to do this. And the reality is, as study proves, this is only going to get worse as shit progresses, since women's FAI is ever increasing. Soon we'll have fully fledged harems controlled by the top 10% financially and physically if they don't exist already which will doom even average men. In short it never began
